What is your earliest memory of
music or being interested in music and what inspired or led to a career in
I first realised I wanted to pursue
a career in music when I joined my primary school’s rock band and had our first
performance at the end of the year. I guess you could say I got a kick out of
the adrenaline! I grew up listening to country music so the love for the genre
started as soon as I could walk really!
What is your career highlight, so
I have had way too many fun times
on stages that I cannot begin to think of a best one! But some of my highlights
are certainly attending the CMAA Academy in 2012, performing on the main stage
at the Gympie Muster and performing in showcases at the annual Tamworth
How would you describe the
music/songs you write and sing?
I would definitely call it modern
country and to a degree country pop. I love all genres, particularly country
and pop which is how my originals come about.
What advice would you give anyone
considering a career in the music industry?
Oh that question makes me feel
like a superstar! I would say if it’s your dream then go for it, just make sure
you’re dedicated! But most of all, have fun!
Who would you most like to sing a
If I could pick anyone in the
world it would be Hunter Hayes :P Otherwise I’m not too sure! Anyone who would
like to sing with me I guess!
Do you have an embarrassing /
funny musical experience you can share with us?
There are plenty of moments I
wish never happened on stage but I’ve learnt from all of them I do remember
one time when I tripped on my guitar lead and the only way I could save myself
from falling was to flash the poor elderly couple in front of me, oops. :/
What music are you interested in
at the moment?
I love all music! I listen to
anything from Rascal Flatts to ACDC to One Direction. Yes, even 1D!
What other interests do you have
away from music?
If I’m not performing I’m
generally working on my next goal for my career or hanging out with friends. Or
sleeping! And if you call Facebook and interest these days, then certainly
What are some of your favourite
Is chocolate classed as a favourite
thing? My friends and family definitely come into the list of favourite things
as well as my guitar!
What is next for you?
Now that I’ve finished school
I’ll be focusing 100% on my career and trying to perform in all different
places! I’m currently saving up to record which hopefully won’t be too far
Thank you for taking the time to
